Proximal Humerus Fractures: Survey of Post-Operative Protocols and Factors Affecting Treatment Decisions Amongst Shoulder and Elbow and Orthopedic Trauma Surgeons

We are conducting a survey study evaluating both orthopedic trauma and shoulder and elbow surgeons regarding their patterns of operative management of proximal humerus fractures (PHFs), including the post-operative protocols for weight-bearing, lifting, and range of motion, and their attitudes regarding patient factors that affect their treatment decision making. We believe post-operative protocols after PHF treatment need to be studied and optimized to both minimize complications and maximize patient function.  Audience: Fellowship-trained orthopedic trauma surgeons
