As a member organization of the International Orthopedic Trauma Association (IOTA), our society is collaborating on a study that seeks to determine how soft-tissue wounds are treated after open fractures. This study will determine treatment patterns, identify available resources, and characterize barriers to addressing these challenging problems. The objective of this work is to understand the standards of orthopaedic trauma care worldwide and to determine areas of further study and improvement. It should take only 10 minutes or less to complete.

The study represents a first-of-its-kind collaboration between IOTA societies. Our society will have access to the results of the survey and plan to report them back to the OTA membership at the Annual Meeting. The study has been designated exempt by the Institutional Review Board of the University of California - San Francisco (UCSF).

Target: OTA active, clinical and international members
