When and where?

The OTA Annual Meeting will take place October 20-23, 2021 at the Fort Worth Convention Center. The Fort Worth Convention Center is located at 1201 Houston St, Fort Worth, Texas, 76102

Will there be live video streaming of the meeting?

No portion of the meeting will be live streamed. If you cannot attend, you have the option to purchase On-Demand and watch the recorded presentations as they become available. 

In addition, a limited number of session highlights will be available daily for those not able to attend the meeting in person.

Where is the Resident Course taking place?

The OTA Residents Comprehensive Fracture Course will be held at the Omni Hotel and runs concurrent to the Annual Meeting Wednesday through Friday. The address for the Omni Hotel is 1300 Houston Street, Fort Worth, Texas, 76102.

How can I register for the Annual Meeting and Pre-Meeting events?

Registration in now open, click here to register now. By registering on or before September 30, 2021 you will save $100. *Annual Meeting registration does not include pre-meeting events. You must register and pay for each pre-meeting event you wish to attend. Early registration ends September 30th. After this date, meeting prices go up $100 for annual meeting registration as well as pre-meeting events.

What is included in my registration?

Each registration fee includes all group continental breakfasts, coffee breaks, receptions, registration materials and general and concurrent educational sessions.

What else do I need to know about registration?

  • Registration is online.
  • If you have outstanding dues, you will be charged the non-member rate. You must pay your dues first to access the member rate.
  • Pre-meeting events are not added automatically to your registration. You must select them individually.
  • You are permitted to register for more than one concurrent pre-meeting event, but you are responsible for managing your attendance to overlapping events.
  • International Registrants - please call your financial institution to authorize the charges before you complete registration, as your bank might decline the transaction under the fraud protection program.
  • International Registrants – if you select pre-meeting only and International Trauma Care Forum you will not be able to attend the Annual Meeting. You must choose the Annual Meeting and International Trauma Care Forum to attend both.
  • Receptions are free for all registrants with a registration badge. You must purchase a companion ticket if you plan to bring a guest to the Welcome Reception. Dress code is business casual.
  • Once registration is complete, you can add the event to your calendar and print your invoice via links on the confirmation page.
  • Badge sharing is not allowed. Charges for lost and reprinted badges will apply.
  • A full refund will be issued if the OTA cancels the meeting.

What if I need to cancel my registration due to travel restrictions?

A full refund will be issued.

Can I purchase a one day badge?

Yes. However, you can only purchase a one day badge on site.

What if I cannot attend the Annual Meeting in person?

You will have the option to purchase the OTA Annual Meeting and view on-demand. The on-demand only order site will be available September 1st . See pricing below:

Do you offer a waitlist option for sessions with limited seating?

No. These sessions are on a first come, first-served basis.

Does the Annual Meeting offer CME? If so, how many credits are available? 

All Annual Meeting live activities have been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). The Orthopaedic Trauma Association (OTA) is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The OTA designates the Annual Meeting live activity for a maximum of 20.5 AMA PRA Category 1Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Will CMEs be transferred to my AAOS transcript?

Yes, if the OTA has your AAOS ID number; CME credits will be sent to AAOS by December 1, 2021.

How do I make hotel reservations?

Discounted room rates have been secured for the conference at area hotels for OTA attendees. Conference Direct is the only approved housing agency for the OTA 37th Annual Meeting. If you are contacted by anyone other than Conference Direct, do not reserve with them; they are not endorsed by OTA. Please click here to make your reservation today. Changes and cancellations must be made prior to October 7, 2021.

How far is the airport from the convention center and host hotels?

Downtown Fort Worth is 17.5 miles from the fourth-busiest airport in the world, Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, the best gateway into the Americas. Parking Options and Ground Transportation are also listed on the DFW link listed.

How do I get an invite letter to apply for a Visa?

Where are the Fellowship Information Sessions being held?

I am a resident applicant and only plan to attend the fellowship information sessions. Do I need to register for the Annual Meeting?

No, there is no badge required to attend the sessions as they are located at the Omni Hotel.
