Trauma Fellowships
OTA Trauma Fellowships are designed to train surgeons capable of working independently at a level 1 or 2 trauma center and/or serving as the American College of Surgeons (ACS) orthopaedic trauma liaison. Only fellows who complete their training at an OTA Trauma Fellowship will be recognized by the ACS to serve in this role. Fellows are expected to receive high quality surgical training in a wide range of upper and lower extremity fractures and should be exposed to a reasonable number of pelvic and acetabular fractures.
Fracture Fellowships
OTA Fracture Fellowships are designed to train capable and competent fracture surgeons. We expect that they are capable of taking trauma call at a level 1 or 2 trauma center but may not have the experience to manage all high energy pelvic and acetabular fractures. Fellows are expected to receive high quality surgical training in a wide range of upper and lower extremity trauma but may not have extensive exposure to pelvic and acetabular fractures. These fellowships may also have additional areas of focus areas, such as arthroplasty, geriatric fracture management, upper extremity fractures, etc.
