Faculty/Presenter Resources

Welcome, OTA Faculty. We appreciate your dedication to ensuring the quality of our educational programming.

Faculty for OTA programs include program chairs, symposium speakers, paper, ePoster, and digital presenters, moderators, and course faculty. Below you will find OTA policies and requirements for all faculty participating in the Annual Meeting. We thank you for your time and commitment.

DisclosureS

The Orthopaedic Trauma Association (OTA) requires all faculty, instructors, planners, reviewers, managers and other individuals in a position to control or influence the content of an activity to disclose all relevant financial relationships or affiliations. All identified conflicts of interest must be resolved, and the educational content thoroughly vetted by OTA for fair balance, scientific objectivity and appropriateness of patient care recommendations. The OTA also requires faculty, authors to disclose when off-label/unapproved uses of a product are discussed in a CME activity or included in related materials.

Financial relationships are those relationships in which the individual benefits by receiving a salary, royalty, intellectual property rights, consulting fee, honoraria for promotional speakers’ bureau, ownership interest (e.g., stocks, stock options or other ownership interest, excluding diversified mutual funds), or other financial benefits. ACCME considers relationships of the person involved in the CME activity to include financial relationships of a spouse or partner.

All faculty are REQUIRED to have a current disclosure on file with the AAOS Orthopaedic Disclosure Program. Faculty disclosures must be updated every 6 months to remain current. All disclosures for the OTA Annual Meeting must be made on or after September 30, 2020. Any disclosures made prior to this date will not be valid.
