The Connecticut Orthopaedic Society bestowed its inaugural Humanitarian Service Award on Todd Mailly, MD. The award recognizes "volunteer work and commitment of an orthopaedic surgeon devoted to the welfare of patients in underserved and needy populations in challenging situations." Dr. Mailly's longterm commitment to the people of Haiti was recognized, as he has made many trips to provide care and treatment for orthopaedic patients. His work with HVO was also acknowledged, as he has volunteered his skills in Ghana and China. Dr. Mailly also serves on the board of Orthopaedics Overseas. Congratulations to Dr. Mailly on this welldeserved honor!
