OTA membership applications are currently closed. The applications for the Spring will open beginning of January 2026. 

When does OTA accept applications?

The OTA accepts applications twice per year: 
Deadline: May 15 - Membership will begin July 1
Deadline: November 15 - Membership will begin January 1

Please Note: Applications will be reviewed by the Membership Committee after the November15th deadline, with membership starting January 1st, 2026. If anything is missing/needed for your application, you will be contacted directly.

How much are membership dues?

Membership dues vary by category, the below table lists prices for members in the United States and Canada. Please note that two years after Residency (Candidate Membership), memberships will be switched to Clinical status automatically.

Individual International membership dues are based on a tiered dues structure aligned with the World Bank’s country classifications. International membership dues covered by Industry/Institutions may not be eligible for discounted international dues. 

Note: As of 2026, The OTA no longer requires those from LMIC and LIC countries to pay dues. Members from those countries do need to fill out a yearly Membership Confirmation Form. This form needs to be filled out within the first 6 months of the year, otherwise the International membership will be cancelled, and the individual will have to re-apply. Please note, this only applies to members practicing in Low Middle & Low Income countries.

Guest Nation Applicants

All Guest Nation applicants will receive complimentary one-year membership for the year that their country serves as the Guest Nation

Required Documents For Applications
  • Current curriculum vitae (word.doc or pdf)
  • A recent photograph (jpeg/jpg or gif.)
  • Sponsor form needed for Active or Research Applications
  • Application fee of $50.00 (USD) 
    Current members applying for a new category, United States active duty military (military waver required), candidate members, guest nation members and members in low and low middle income countries are exempt of fee.
