OTA International is the official open-access, orthopaedic trauma journal published on behalf of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association (OTA). As the official open-access journal of the OTA, OTAI aims to further knowledge, foster innovation, support research and promote good clinical practice in the field of orthopaedic trauma, within a global setting.
As an open-access journal, OTAI offers complimentary access to full articles.
Contributions are welcome from surgeons and trauma clinicians, educators and researchers in the following areas: in all sub-specialty areas of orthopaedic trauma, basic science and biomechanics, quality and safety systems, population health, and health policy and economics relevant to orthopaedic trauma. OTA members receive a member discount on publication costs.
Please note: To assist authors in developing countries, OTAI participates in the Hinari Access to Research for Health initiative in offering full or partial equitable waivers for accepted articles from authors in developing economies. Eligibility is based on the Research4Life eligibility criteria. Countries listed in Group A are eligible for the full waiver, and countries listed in Group B are eligible for the partial (50%) waiver. The waiver is applied automatically, based on the corresponding author's country information as provided during submission.
