Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon 

Maine Medical Partners Orthopedic Trauma & Fracture Care is seeking a Board Certified/Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon with fellowship training in orthopaedic traumatology.  Candidates will join three established surgeons to complete a team that manages the fracture care at Maine Medical Center as one surgeon begins to transition his practice toward retirement.  

Maine Medical Partners Orthopedics includes 2 full time traumatologists who are members of Maine Medical Center’s Level 1 Trauma Program, a team of 6 surgeons within the Joint Replacements Division, 2 surgeons in the Sports Medicine Program and one hand surgeon.   

Maine Medical Center is the only hospital in Maine with an organized, 24-hour orthopedic trauma service.   The group runs a daily orthopaedic trauma room, working closely with the trauma service to optimize care of the injured patient. Two of the three surgeons at Maine Medical Partners Orthopedic Trauma & Fracture Care are fellowship trained in orthopedic traumatology and all are certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.

Maine Medical Center has 637 licensed beds and is the state’s leading tertiary hospital with a nearly full complement of residencies and fellowships and is an integral part of the Tufts University Medical School.  The successful candidate would have an academic appointment at Tufts University School of Medicine. 

The successful candidate will be employed by Maine Medical Partners (MMP), a subsidiary of Maine Medical Center and Maine’s largest multi-specialty group.  MMP serves the health care needs of patients throughout Maine and Northern New England.  This high quality team of more than 500 physicians and 200 advanced practice professionals provides a wide range of hospital based, primary, specialty, and sub-specialty adult and pediatric care delivered throughout a network of 30 locations across the State and acts as a regional referral network.

Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon

Central Maine Healthcare, seeks Full time BE/BC Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join its well-established Surgery department located in Lewiston, ME at Central Maine Medical Center. Sub-specialty trained orthopedic trauma surgeon responsible for providing:


  • Emergency Department coverage at a Level II trauma center a minimum one weekend per month
  • Participate in the weekday/night ED coverage rotation with other group orthopedic surgeons
  • See orthopedic patients - new, established and follow-up in the orthopedic clinic setting  
  • Participate in hospital/surgical quality and planning committees as indicated
  • Partner with providers in Central Maine Orthopedics/Spectrum Healthcare, our partner for orthopedic care
