Global Outreach has been identified as a key initiative of the OTA’s Strategic Plan. OTA is addressing this issue because there is a huge global burden of trauma care and the World Health Organization reports that more than 90% of global deaths from injuries occur in low- and middle-income countries.
In support of this strategic mission, the OTA Global Outreach Task Force and the Humanitarian Committee have many important initiatives planned for the coming year. We are writing to ask for your support. 100% of your donation goes directly to Global Outreach supporting humanitarian efforts.
Below are some examples of how your support can impact these efforts.
A $300 pledge can support membership dues for 10 low-income orthopaedic trauma surgeons for 3-years
A 3-year pledge of $2,216 per year will support continual access to OTA Online and JOT in a low-income country for the next 3-years
A $500 gift supports Humanitarian Scholars (Scholarship Program)
