The proposal is for a short survey to determine common practice of skin closure suture material, size, and technique in adult (i.e. patients ≥18 years of age) ankle fractures among members of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association and American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society. In addition, information regarding deviations from common practice in special patient populations (e.g. open fractures, diabetes, peripheral vascular disease, tobacco use) will be gathered. The survey will take less than 3 minutes to complete. Participation is not required, and completion of the survey will suffice as your consent to use your responses for analysis in this study.
The target population to receive the survey is all members.
