FDA to Host Workshop on Orthopaedic Device-Related Infections

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is hosting a public workshop on orthopaedic device-related infections. The focus of the workshop is the role of medical devices in orthopaedic infections; specifically exploring new and ongoing research, discussing potential strategies to address associated challenges, developing innovative solutions, and catalyzing collaboration among orthopaedic community stakeholders to identify regulatory science challenges related to orthopaedic device-related infections. The workshop will be held online Friday, Nov. 13, 2020, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. ET. Participation is free, but the registration deadline is Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2020, at 4:00 p.m. ET.
