Objective
OTA offers funding for one supplementary issue of the Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma (JOT) each year. The objective is to support JOT as the official print journal of the OTA and to provide OTA membership with an additional opportunity to publish information with significant impact for the orthopaedic community.
Key items of consideration
- The focus of the monograph should be of direct interest and benefit to OTA members.
- OTA has an interest in selecting topics that are not likely to be published through traditional publication processes.
- The topic should be of contemporary interest and not well addressed in current literature
Funding
- The supplement will be published online during 2026.
- The maximum page allotment for the online supplement is 50 pages.
- Please note: authors who seek exceed the 50 page allotment, or would like to arrange for the supplement to be published both online and in print, should secure additional funding (please contact Krista Storm for assistance in budget preparation).
Requirements
The primary author of the supplement must be an OTA Member.
Application
Please submit a proposal to include:
- a one-page abstract
- a one-page description of the expected orthopaedic impact
Both may be included in a single document.
