FIOTA

FIOTA is an honorary acknowledgement initiated to publicly recognize individuals who have gained a status of outstanding professional contributions and high achievement in the field of orthopaedic trauma education and research worldwide. In preparation for the first ever IOTA Triennial Meeting that took place in Amsterdam from December 14th - December 16th, 2022, each IOTA society member had the benefit of nominating a maximum of 1% of their membership to this newly created distinction of ‘fellow of the IOTA’, or ‘FIOTA’, and are now able to carry the honorary letters after their names. These letters indicate the national recognition and international standing of the FIOTA member.
