Case-based format providing examples of clinical scenarios involving malunited and non-united geriatric hip fractures
objectives
1. Identify mechanisms of failure (reduction, fixation, infection, etc.).
2. Discuss treatment options for various scenarios.
3. Discuss how patient history and function combine with fracture pattern / mechanism of failure to guide treatment selection.
4. Discuss coordination of trauma and joint arthroplasty attendings when multiple skill sets involved.
