Description: Many traumatologists have little to no exposure to the business side of orthopaedics during residency and fellowship. This creates a knowledge gap upon entering practice, as clinical success often depends on navigating the financial aspects of one’s job. The purpose of this webinar is to combine the experience of senior surgeons in various practice models to answer commonly asked questions and provide tips on establishing and continuing a productive career.

Objectives: 

After the webinar, participants should be able to:

  • Summarize how to navigate the financial aspects of orthopaedic trauma in various practice models: academic, hybrid and private.
  • Explain how to avoid pitfalls in business practice; maximizing your RVUs; understanding bundled payments and ancillary services.
  • Plan time to include both clinical and academic productivity.
