The West Virginia University School of Medicine, Department of Orthopaedics seeks qualified applicants for a full-time Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon to practice at

J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV, the only level 1 academic trauma center in the region.
Candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible to obtain state medical licensure.  Candidates must have completed an ACGME accredited orthopaedic surgery residency as well as an orthopaedic trauma fellowship. Successful candidates must be board certified/eligible in orthopaedic surgery. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

Our Department of Orthopaedics has approximately 40 full time faculty in all sub-specialty areas of Orthopaedics, including spine, total joint replacement, sports medicine, foot and ankle, hand, pediatrics, trauma, musculoskeletal oncology, and basic science. Our faculty are fellowship trained and respected nationally, but we emphasize more than surgical expertise - our mission is to provide excellence in patient care and customer service in the delivery of that care. As a part of a major academic teaching center, we use a multidisciplinary approach to the treatment and education of our patients. Our physicians have easy access to a full range of specialists.  Our spine practice is tertiary care for the entire state and surrounding regions, presenting as complex deformity, degenerative, traumatic, infectious, and neoplastic disorders.
