Department of Orthopaedic Surgery

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital is seeking two academic orthopaedic surgeons to join the Department in the Trauma division. 

The candidates should be fellowship trained in this specialty.  The candidates will be expected to be active clinically as well as academically, including research, teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows.

Appointment as an Instructor, Assistant or Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School will be commensurate with experience, training, and achievement. In addition to teaching activities, a suitable candidate will have an MD and Board certification in Orthopaedic Surgery.

Position Description:
General and Hospital-Based Orthopedic Surgeon

The Department of Orthopedics at Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at BIDMC, Inc. (HMFP) is seeking a residency trained and board certified or eligible General and Hospital Practice Orthopedic Surgeon who will be the weekday primary resource and provider of care for patients who present in the Beth Israel Deaconess-Needham Hospital Emergency Department and on the inpatient areas and need the services of an orthopedist.  The position will also have an outpatient practice working in collaboration with the subspecialty practices of HMFP.  A post-residency fellowship is not required. This is very dynamic position with a great deal of autonomy over daily practice with relaxed and flexible productivity and on-call requirements.
