Orthopaedic Trauma – Academic Clinical Faculty Appointment

Position Description: 

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine at the University of Kentucky is seeking a fellowship trained Orthopaedic trauma surgeon to join our growing Orthopaedic Trauma service.  As the region’s largest level I trauma center (pediatric and adult), UK HealthCare continues to grow and evolve to serve the overall medical needs of more than 3 million people and ranks above the 90th percentile of academic medical centers in patient discharges. 

The Orthopaedic Trauma service consists of five full-time faculty and one part-time position as part of a Department  with over 40 clinical faculty currently.  The candidate will join a busy Department seeing nearly 60,000 ambulatory visits and 8,000 OR cases per year, with our Trauma service accounting for just under 3,000 cases.  Since 2015, we also have two one-year Orthopaedic Trauma Fellow rotations on the service.

Required Credentials:

​​​​​​​All physician positions are for Board Certified or Board Eligible MDs or DOs and must be able to obtain Kentucky licensure before they begin practicing.
