The Indiana University School of Medicine, Department of Orthopedic Surgery is seeking a fellowship-trained orthopedic trauma surgeon to join our nationally recognized program. An applicant with a demonstrated interest in clinical research is preferred. Our group functions as a unique and cohesive team focusing on all aspects of care for patients with musculoskeletal trauma. This team consists of 7 trauma surgeons, 11 advanced practice providers, 2 orthopedic trauma fellows, and 5 research coordinators. As the busiest adult level one trauma center in Indiana, IU Health Methodist Hospital houses an exceptionally robust patient volume with 782 beds and approximately 3600 trauma admissions a year. Our orthopedic trauma team performs approximately 2800 acute and reconstructive procedures annually. Since the program’s inception 7 years ago, we have received $13 million in grant funding, with 87 publications and 80 podium or poster presentations.
