Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon Faculty Position
The Department of Orthopaedics, at the Medical College of Georgia, at Augusta University is seeking a Trauma Surgeon to join a busy Level 1 University Trauma Center. Candidates should be committed to an academic surgical practice, research and resident teaching.
We seek candidates who are enthusiastic and willing to be members of a team committed to building an outstanding Academic Orthopaedic Department and Residency Program. The ACGME approved residency program is part of Augusta University and AU Health System--a busy Level 1 University Trauma Center in Augusta, GA.
Candidates must have a M.D., or D.O. degree, successfully completed an accredited Trauma fellowship program and be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery. Additionally, candidates must be able to obtain an unrestricted medical license in the State of Georgia and a DEA license prior to employment.
Medical College of Georgia is Georgia’s only state-supported medical school. Established in 1828, it is one of the 10 largest medical schools. This position is based at the main campus in Augusta, Georgia. Augusta is Georgia’s second largest city and is home to the Masters Golf Tournament and Ironman 70.3 competition. The city hosts urban living with a variety of restaurants, play houses, concerts, a newly renovated symphony hall and a recently constructed minor league baseball venue. Cost of living is low and lifestyle includes many opportunities for outdoor activities including equestrian, golf, fishing, kayaking, and miles of cycling and running paths. Augusta is located in proximity to Atlanta, Charlotte, Charleston, and Savannah as well as the seacoast and mountains.

HCA Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah, GA is seeking an Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon. The incoming Physician will join two other Surgeons in a Level 1 Trauma facility.
