Division of Orthopaedic Trauma- 1.0 FTE, RFP-202310-1404
The Department of Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation at the Yale School of Medicine seeks an Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon for a full-time faculty position with interest and expertise in Orthopaedic Trauma. This position will have an expectation of clinical service commitment at Yale New Haven Hospital Delivery Network. Yale New Haven Hospital is a designated Level 1 adult and pediatric trauma facility at the York Street Campus in New Haven, CT. It is the first and only hospital in the state of Connecticut with this status. The trauma center provides the highest level of surgical care to trauma patients, delivered by expert medical and nursing staffs in the emergency department, operating rooms, and intensive care units.
Affiliated with Yale School of Medicine, the YNHH trauma program serves the state of Connecticut and the northeast and is a leader in trauma system development within the state. There is 24-hour in-house coverage by specially trained senior trauma surgeons and prompt availability of subspecialists needed to adequately respond and care for various forms of trauma, including:
Responsibilities will include clinical service, with the possibility of teaching, and research activities depending on the wishes and skill set of the candidate. Physicians with a sole focus on clinical care are welcome to apply.
Applicants must be board-certified or board-eligible Orthopaedic surgeon with fellowship training in Orthopaedic Trauma.
Academic appointment will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
