Research Mentor Program
The OTA Research Mentor Program is intended to provide guidance to all residents involved in orthopaedic trauma research.
Purpose: The OTA Research Mentor Program is intended to provide guidance to all residents involved in orthopaedic trauma research.
Research Mentors: Research Mentor Volunteers have varying degrees of expertise in many different areas of specialization. Areas of expertise/interest are noted in the mentor database below. The database also includes each mentor's available capacity of assistance: 1) confidentially review manuscripts 2) confidentially review grant proposals 3) offer advice/answer specific questions via phone or e-mail 4) host scientists for short periods of time (e.g., days to weeks) to teach specific techniques or approaches Enrollment: To enroll, search the database below, and choose a 1st and 2nd choice mentor, based on areas of interest, and the capacity of assistance you require. Then e-mail your request to the OTA office at caswell@aaos.org (please also include a brief description of your areas of interest). You will be contacted within 1 week to confirm the mentor(s) availability, and provided with contact information.
