ORTHOPAEDIC TRAUMATOLOGY         

 

The State University of New York Downstate Medical Center Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is recruiting full-time academic faculty.  Clinical applicants should be Board Eligible or Board Certified with fellowship training or equivalent experience. Academic appointments at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor levels in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation Medicine will be granted based upon qualifications.  Located in Brooklyn, NY, SUNY Downstate is the only academic medical center in a borough of 2.7 million people and the largest medical school in the state.

 

Clinical candidates must be committed to patient care and resident education as well as developing research activities.  Strong clinical, administrative and interpersonal skills are required.  Competitive academic salary includes an excellent benefits package and the potential for significant income through the practice plan.
