The Indiana University School of Medicine, Department of Orthopedic Surgery is seeking a fellowship-trained orthopedic trauma surgeon to join our nationally recognized program at IU Health Methodist Hospital.  An applicant with interest in clinical research is preferred.  Our group functions as a unique and cohesive team focusing on all aspects of care for patients with musculoskeletal trauma.  Emphasis is placed on excellent patient outcomes, efficient care, education, and research.  This team consists of 6 trauma surgeons, 11 advanced practice providers, 2 orthopedic trauma fellows, and 5 research coordinators.  As the clinically busiest adult level one trauma center in Indiana, IU Health Methodist Hospital houses an exceptionally robust patient volume with 782 beds and approximately 3600 trauma admissions a year.  Our orthopedic trauma team performs approximately 2800 acute and reconstructive procedures annually.  This opportunity includes a full-time faculty appointment with the IU School of Medicine and a generous compensation package with outstanding benefits.
