Job Description

A long-standing orthopaedic group is seeking a motivated and dynamic Fellowship Trained Trauma Surgeon to meet a community need in the four season, mountain of Flagstaff, Arizona.  The incoming surgeon will have the opportunity to become a partner in the practice.  All general trauma cases are performed at Flagstaff Medical Center.  Flagstaff Medical Center (FMC) is a level one trauma center and manages all complex trauma issues in Northern Arizona.  The number of trauma cases annually for this position will be between 380 and 550.

 

Call is split between nights/weekends and days:

  • Required general trauma call coverage for night/weekends is shared pro rata amongst the two orthopaedic groups in Flagstaff at a combined average of 1:17 days with collegial sharing of specialty cases.
  • Trauma Surgeon will take much of the practice’s day trauma call which will be approximately 8-10 days a month.

Flagstaff Bone and Joint is a well-established, private practice that has been providing quality healthcare to Northern Arizona since 1978.  Our practice strives to provide state of the art care along with comprehensive medical education and superior customer services.  Our practice has five Arizona clinic locations including: Kingman, Williams, Flagstaff, Cottonwood, and Winslow.  We have 19 providers and a total of 58 employees:

Practice Ancillary Services

The practice provides integrated ancillary services for patient convenience including digital x-ray, ultrasound, custom bracing, durable medical equipment, and occupational/physical therapy.
